Renowned glass artist Lindsay Telling trained at Bristol School of Art achieving a Diploma in Stained Glass, Fine Art and Design. A native Bristolian, she established waterfrontglass.co.uk in 2011 once children were off her hands! Her work quickly gained an enviable reputation and is permanently on display at various venues including Fowey River Gallery, Fowey and The Meudon Hotel, Mawnan Smith.
Lindsay was approached by her in-laws who commissioned her to produce their racing colours in glass. Following this one off project she was contacted by other owners to produce their colours which has lead to her establishing "Silks in Glass". Each glass silk is designed and hand crafted in her Bristol studio and is a truly unique way in which owners and trainers can portray their jockeys colours. Your glass silk can be mounted and hung, as in the photographs illustrated, or simply fixed directly onto a wall with stainless steel fixings, they are approximately 40 cm x 45 cm (mounted) but can be larger or smaller depending on the client requirements.
The cost of each silk is £295 which includes courier costs
Lindsay can be found at various racing events having recently been at Paul Nicholls owners day and the Jump Legends weekend at Chepstow, details of other race meetings will be advertised on this site in due course.
Your racing colours can also be reproduced in other ways such as chopping boards, cheese boards, wine coaster and even bowls.
